Bishops Stortford Swimming Club

Recently several of our members have had property taken from the changing rooms at Herts and Essex and The College swimming pools.
These items vary from a very expensive mobile phone, shoes and items of clothing.
This is a very unhappy state of affairs and very distressing for those individuals.
I am sure you are aware that when the swimmers and coaches are on poolside the changing rooms are left unattended therefore it is particularly difficult to ensure the safety of any property left in the changing rooms.
In order to try and minimize the opportunity for items to go missing I would urge all swimmers to put their person property into a bag and to bring it on to pool side.
Should anyone see any strangers in the changing rooms or any swimmer taking anything that does not belong to them please can you immediately inform the coach or a member of the committee?
Any individual found taking other peoples property will be dealt with robustly and where appropriate the police will be called in.

THE SCHOOL HAVE INFORMED US THAT THE POOL WILL STILL BE SHUT ON MONDAY 8TH JUNE.

ANY FURTHER UPDATES WILL BE POSTED ON WEBSITE AND EMAIL SENT TO THE SQUADS

Herts & Essex School have just informed us that due to vandalism

The pool will be closed from Monday 1^st – Thursday 4^th June.

A further notice will be put on website and by email if the closure is extended
