Training Schedule

This is our standard training schedule effective from 1st October 2009. 

Holidays will usually affect at least some sessions.  Please check here regularly for announcements of changes to the schedule.

 

Training Sunday 19th September

Please note that there will be no training for the following squads on Sunday 19th September, this is due to Chasing County QT meet being held at the College

Remember to get your entries in for Chasing County QT meet, entry forms can be downloaded from the club website. Closing date been extended.

Masters and Red Squad training session will be at Grange Paddocks 5:00 – 6:00pm

On a Friday evening the training sessions for the squads listed below will be as follows

National / Senior 5:00 - 6:30pm (Pool)

Club 6:30 - 7:30pm (Pool)

Saturday morning training will be as follows

National / Senior 6:30 - 8:30am (Pool)

Intermediate 7:00 - 8:30am (Pool)

OBJECTIVES:

HOW TO BECOME A BETTER SWIMMER

1st A  STREAMLINE

Body position, Gliding, Kicking (How to increase the distance underwater)

B   DIVING -

Focusing, concentration, Preparation, Reaction (Streamline – Underwater Kick)

C   TURNS –

Approaching the Wall (Distance for wall & Turning point)

Streamline- (Carrying speed of the wall. How to use the wall to go Faster). Kick

 

2nd STROKE DEVELOPMENT

A Stroke Drills, develop co-ordination, improve feel for the water & increase distance per stroke.

B Learn the importance of stroke counting & Distance per Stroke efficiency

C Learning Pacing against the clock
